Microsoft has announced a new personal email service at Outlook.com. The company describes it as a service “that reimagines the way that people use email – from a cleaner look, to fewer and less obtrusive ads, to new connections to social media sites like Facebook and Twitter. ” You can sign into Outlook.com with your existing Microsoft account (also, and soon formerly known as your Windows Live ID) or you can sign up for a new outlook.com account.
Whether this will replace Hotmail going forward is unknown at this.
