Microsoft announced the new Xbox One S, the slimmer more powerful, 4K video ready Xbox. They also teased an upcoming next generation Xbox console that will be VR ready. The Xbox Scorpio teased by Microsoft is claimed to be the most powerful console device of its time and there is little that can compete with it at the moment.

The 6TFlop, an 8-core console seems to be the real deal but the main focus of the console is on VR. According to the General Manager of game publishing, the Xbox Scorpio will enable developers to achieve a minimum of 90 frames per second in virtual reality.

This is what the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive offer as well. But according to reports the PS VR is reaching for 120 FPS. If that is true then Microsoft needs to push further with their Xbox Scorpio console.

While we heard rumors about both the new Xbox and the PS Neo before E3, Sony did not give us anything at all. This seems to be very odd considering that they could have opted to tell us something after the official Xbox One S announcement.

With the new Polaris and Zen Architectures by AMD, Microsoft’s  Xbox Scorpio is something we all should be excited about.
