Xbox One’s First Original Xbox Backwards Compatible Games Are Here!

After wait, Microsoft has introduced backwards compatibility support for original Xbox games on Xbox One. As is the case with Xbox 360 games, only select titles are supported.

We have the first list of games below. A total of 13 games for the original Xbox can now be played on Xbox One.

  • BloodRayne 2
  • Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge
  • Dead to Rights
  • Fuzion Frenzy
  • Grabbed by the Ghoulies
  • The King of Fighters Neowave
  • Ninja Gaiden Black
  • Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time
  • Psychonauts
  • Red Faction II
  • Sid Meier’s Pirates
  • Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic

If you still have physical copies of any of these laying around, all you need to do it put the disc into your Xbox One to start playing. You can also, but digital copies through the Xbox Store

Please remember most of these games are in 4:3 aspect rations.  Even with that in mind, you will see visual improvements, even 4K on the Xbox One X

When comes to online play, online multiplayer is unavailable  since the Xbox Live for original Xbox system has been shut down foe long time now. However, you can still play local multiplayer–including games that offer system link, which can connect Xbox, Xbox 360, and Xbox One consoles together.

Microsoft said the next set of original Xbox titles will arrive in Spring 2018.
