Windows Vista Service Pack 2 is Now Available

Windows Vista Service Pack 2 is now available for download from Windows Update.  The Vista SP2 update include new support for recording Blu-ray discs straight from the Vista OS, updated support for Bluetooth v2.1, and bug fixes that address slow shutdowns and mysterious crashes.

You can download Vista SP2 directly from Microsoft at its Web site , if you down’t want to get via Windows update. You must have Vista SP1 installed on your system to install the SP2 Vista.

  • Fixes Wi-Fi issues when Vista awakes from sleep mode
  • Support for VIA new 64 bit CPU
  • Boosts power management efficiency by 10 percent
  • Better RSS performance  with   sidebar gadgets
  • Microsoft says SP2 repairs nearly 700 Vista bugs and security updates.
  • Support for exFAT,  a FAT  file system which can  handle larger files and  uses UTC timestamps. UTC support  is for  synchronizing files across different time zones.
