The home of the future will be one of the major themes at this year’s CES 2016.

Among the companies at CES trying to catch the wave and generate interest among tech-smart families, Whirlpool plans to introduce a host of kitchen, cleaning and smart home appliances.

At this year’s CES new products from Whirlpool’s home appliance designers include the Kitchen of the Future and the Smart To Load Washer and Dryer.

Whirlpool is showcasing its interactive Kitchen of the Future, a connected system of smart appliances combining its energy efficient refrigerator with stoves and dishwashers that allow for personalized recipes and simple clean-up. The system works with Nest and with Amazon Dash Replenishment to provide always-on notifications and alerts for peace of mind.

Also at CES is Whirlpool’s Smart Top Load Washer and Dryer, which the company says is the first laundry pair in the U.S. to introduce the use of technology to generate philanthropic donations. It will use Whirlpool brand’s Connect to care™ program which lets families and consumers automatically donate to others in need. For every load of laundry washed, a small payment can be directed to to Habitat for Humanity, to help create affordable housing in partnership with low-income families.
