Voyager Mobile Web Site Attacked – Delays Launch

Voyager Mobile, the new prepaid carrier based on the Sprint network,  was due to launch on Tuesday, has announced it needs to delay the debut due to a malicious network attack on its website. Instead, the service and site will launch in the “very near future,” though exactly when this will be remains to be seen. The carrier promises to bring contract-free, all-in plans that start at just $19 per month when users bring their own hardware.

Opting for a choice of older Android- and Windows Phone-powered handsets will bump that number to $39 per month. The MVNO will rely on Sprint’s network for the connection, and plans are said to include unlimited talk, text, and WiMAX data where available. The limited number of regions that will be initially available are yet to be revealed.
