Vizio has quietly rleased a new flagship shortly after the debut of its its first 3D LCD TVs. The 65-inch XVT3D650SV is 10 inches larger than the previous biggest 3D model. Sadly, the refresh rates went down to 120Hz from 480Hz. Viewers also get polarized 3D glasses in place of the active shutters that cost more but are much more common.

The panel has edge-lit LED backlighting and produces a 1,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. All the other core features of XVT sets are in place, including 802.11n Wi-Fi for Internet apps such as Netflix and Vudu, Vizio’s special keyboard-equipped Bluetooth remote and SRS audio boosting. Five HDMI ports, one each of other typical sources and three USB ports provide the connections.

The release date for the 65-inch set is unknow at this time.   The LCD’s price is noticeably lower than for most 3D TVs its size at $3,700.
