Just in time for holiday entertainment and football playoffs, VIZIO is introducing a variety of new, video and audio products. They include an addition to the popular VIZIO XVT series with 55″ 1080p 120Hz Smooth Motion Video LCD HDTV for only $1999, a High Definition performance Sound Bar with Wireless Subwoofer, three smaller screen LCD HDTVs priced under $500, and a Full HD+ 1080p multimedia monitor.

55″ XVT 120Hz, 1080p LCD HDTV
The 55″ XVT Series 120Hz (model VF550XVT1A), 1080p LCD HDTV featuring Smooth Motion Video Technology, which produces clear, high quality video. The XVT model delivers high performance with 50,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, 9 total High Definition Inputs, and the latest in audio technology from SRS Labs.
The faster refresh rate of 120Hz is twice the speed of other LCDs (60Hz), VIZIO’s Smooth Motion Video Technology eliminates motion blur from fast-action movie scenes and sport coverage. Advanced noise reduction removes noise and artifacts caused by signal compression from cable and satellite providers. This latest XVT model displays 1.7 billion colors using a 10-bit data input panel, with a super fast 5ms response time. The VF550XVT1A is also equipped with an advanced polarizer for less reflectivity, it meets the Energy Star 3.0 criteria, and in Home Mode actually achieves an additional 15% savings making it extremely eco-friendly.
The unit is outfitted with 9 total High Definition Inputs that include five HDMI inputs. It also includes VIZIO’s HD Game Port with HD Inputs located on the side of the TV for fast connection of camcorders and game consoles. The rear panel also provides component, composite, S-video and VGA connections along with digital and analog audio jacks. VIZIO has also incorporated SRS TruSurround HD for a more immersive home theater experience and TruVolume technology that eliminates unwanted volume spikes when you channel surf and watch television commercials. The VIZIO 55″ VXT LCD HDTV will be available in January 2009, just in time for the Super Bowl. The MSRP is $1999.99.
High Performance HD Sound Bar and Wireless Subwoofer
VIZIO’s new Sound bar and Wireless Subwoofer (model VSB210WS) delivers a high performance surround sound experience without the mess or clutter of multiple speakers. The VSB210WS uses four 3″ high efficiency mid/bass drivers and a single 1″ high performance aluminum dome neodymium tweeter for each channel. With a total harmonic distortion of less than .01%, the VSB210WS features SRS TruSurround for immersive surround sound and is one of the first products to utilize SRS Labs’ TruVolume, which prevents extreme volume fluctuations when changing channels or watching commercials. With its piano black finish and chrome accents the unit will coordinate with almost any decor. The VSB210WS comes equipped with a hybrid table top stand and wall mount bracket providing consumers with a range of installation flexibility.
The 2.4GHz Wireless Subwoofer is outfitted with a long throw 6.5″ woofer providing bass response that extends from 35Hz up to 80Hz. The Auto Sync function ensures the subwoofer connects wirelessly to the Sound Bar for convenient plug and play operation. Only a single cable is required to connect the VSB210WS to any flat panel TV.

Small Screen LCD HDTVs: VA19, VA22LF, and VA26 LCD HDTV
VIZIO also releases three new models (VA19, VA22, and VA26) in smaller widescreen (16×9) sizes and featuring a bold, new industrial design to provide style, quality, and value. The VA22 (22″) is VIZIO’s smallest Full HD 1080p LCD TV and features a 5000:1 contrast ratio for exceptional black and rich colors. All models incorporate VIZIO’s advanced polarizer for less reflectivity and meet the latest Energy Star version 3.0 standards, to ensure these models consume significantly less power during operation.

26″ Class 1080P FHD+ Multimedia Monitor Display
The VMM26, 26″ Class 1080P FHD+ multimedia monitor is VIZIO’s answer for the power user and avid gamer. The VMM26 model is 25.5″ diagonal wide screen 16:9 aspect ratio, displays 16.7 million colors and provides 1920 x 1200 resolution for a Full HD+ experience with 2.3 Million pixels for both computer and external game machines that support the extended resolution.
The built-in stand is height adjustable and can guide up and down up to 4.3″, the design also offers tilt functions 5 degrees forward and 20 degrees back along with a built in swivel stand for optimal viewing in large spaces. The most unique feature is the illuminated touch controls that allow the user to adjust the display functions, in lieu of physical buttons, by touching the bottom of the screen the user activates the monitor’s menus. The touch-activated menus include Power on/off, brightness control and image adjustments.
This new monitor comes with a built in contrast enhancing glass feature that is treated with advanced anti-reflective coating. Ideal for avid gamers the ultra fast response of 3ms will benefit the most graphic intense and fast paced video processing machines and equipment.
