If you own an unlocked HTC One (M8), you’ll be pleased to know that an update is in your near future.
HTC executive Mohammad Versi has revealed on Twitter that HTC is targeting “late next week” for the release of Android 4.4.3 on the unlocked One (M8). Versi also notes that HTC is pushing Android 4.4.3 and not 4.4.4 because HTC has “incorporated the security fixes from 4.4.4 into 4.4.3.”
HTC has been pretty on the ball lately when it comes to updating its flagship Android devices, and so it’s nice to hear that that trend will continue next week with an Android 4.4.3 update for the One (M8). And if you’re jonesing for something even newer, it’s worth noting that HTC plans to push Android L to both the One (M7) and One (M8) within 90 days of Google’s release of the code.
