Terminator: Dark Fate SDCC Panel – Edward Furlong Part Of The Cast, R Rating

The two big news bits from Paramount’s panel for Terminator: Dark Fate Hall H Panel at Comic-Con today was that Edward Furlong will return to the franchise to play John Connor and the movie wil have an R rating

Furlong last played the role in 1991’s Terminator 2: Judgment Day in his first screen role.  other actor who have played the role are Christian Bale, Nick Stahl, and Jason Clarke.

Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton headed lined the Hall H, while James Cameron appeared in a video and revealed the Furlong news.

Also during the panel, the film’s director Tim Miller confirmed the new movie will be rated R, not PG-13 like the past two films:

“The DNA of Terminator is an R-rated f—ing’ movie. To not do it R feels disingenuous to the source material.”

The news comes  before Reddit AMA with the cast taking place from 3pm US-PST today.
