T-Mobile has officially launched its Android 2.2 myTouch. Previously referred to as the myTouch HD, the phone is built on a second generation single core Qualcomm Snapdragon 1Ghz processor platform and centers on a 3.8-inch WVGA touchscreen. The HTC manufactured phone also incorporates a pre-installed 8GB microSD card and a 5-megapixel camera capable of 720P HD video recording. Since it is an HSPA+ capable phone, it is able to deliver 4G data speeds on T-Mobile’s HSPA+ network which can theoretically deliver 14.4 Mbps .
The phone comes preinstalled with Rock Band, Asphalt 5 and Monopoly. It integrates DLNA allowing easy sharing of photos and videos with similarly equipped devices and comes installed with Nuance’s Dragon Dictation, which is enabled by pressing a Genius button and allows users to call, text, email or access the internet with voice commands.
Customers can currently register their interest in the device on T-Mobile’s web site, where it is listed as coming soon.
