Microsoft has given more details on the worldwide launch for Windows Phone 7 at the NYC Microsoft Technology Center. The New York City wil include T-Mobile. Previously, Microsoft had only mentioned AT&T as a partner.
Now with T-mobile on board some extra phones, such as the HTC HD7 and LG Optimus T, making an appearance. AT&T’s mix should include the HTC Mondrian, the LG Optimus 7 and the Samsung Cetus.
Most have the common traits of a 3.5-inch or larger 800×480 touchscreen, a 1GHz processor, a five-megapixel or better camera and at least 8GB of built-in storage. This is due to the tight control and requirements Microsoft is setting on the hardware for the new OS.
