SteelSeries has brought out two sets of peripherals tied to WOW and Medal of Honor. In today’s release mix was the World of Warcraft: Cataclysm MMO gaming mouse, for the Medal of Honor series, the 6Gv2 mechanical keyboard, the fully customizable Shift Medal of Honor Edition keyboard, the Xai laser gaming mouse and the QcK mouse pad.
World of Warcraft: Cataclysm MMO Gaming Mouse
The Warcraft mouse is styled after the armor of the AI character Deathwing the Destroyer and sports 14 buttons. It’s ergonomically designed and macros and controls can be assigned to all buttons. There are 16 million backlight color options, four pulse levels and the ability to save as many as 10 character-linked profiles in the software and one on the mouse.
The mouse has an 8.2-foot braided nylon cord and is compatible with both Macs and PCs. The World of Warcraft: Cataclysm mouse ships on December 7 for $100.
The 6Gv2 keyboard is said to be ‘indestructible.’ It uses 18K gold-plated mechanical switches and an extreme anti-ghosting feature claimes to support as many simultaneous key presses as there are keys on the keyboard. Media Controls are incorporated and the keys are mechanical. The plastic keys are iron-infused and sport no-click switches. This keyboard has shipped and costs $100.
Shift Medal of Honor Edition Keyboard
The SteelSeries Shift Medal of Honor Edition Bundle includes a Keyset add-on. The keyboard is less advanced than the 6Gv2, supporting only seven simultaneous key strokes. The bundle costs $100, while the keypad can be purchased separately for $25.
Xai Medal of Honor Edition Mouse
The Xai Medal of Honor Edition ambidextrous mouse has a skin that matches the game color theme. It supports advanced macro creation and can compensate for a lift distance of up to 1mm on uneven surfaces. The mouse and pad cost $90 and $15, respectively.
