Soul Surfer,a new feature film, is set to release nationwide on April 8th, talent will have the rare opportunity to come face-to-face with the film’s casting director on Saturday, April 9th. Produced by Sound Tree Entertainment, talent will have the chance to spend the day learning from one of Hollywood’s most influential insiders at the comprehensive and interactive workshop.
“This is exciting, as most young people don’t have the resources to get to Hollywood to learn firsthand about the ins and outs of the business,” said Gregory James, executive producer of Sound Tree Entertainment. “We are delighted to be bringing this caliber of film industry influencer to our market, who will share career building skills such as audition techniques and acting for film and television, which is crucial to any actor’s career.” James is a pioneer in providing aspiring talent with knowledge and exposure through his critically acclaimed talent camps, garnering the trust of students and parents alike.
Jensen has been a major casting director for more than 20 years. In addition to “Soul Surfer”, Jensen’s credits also include the Disney Channel television shows “That’s So Raven”, “Cory in the House”, “Even Stevens”, and the features “Raise Your Voice” and “Legally Blondes”.
“Soul Surfer,” is the inspiring true story of competitive surfer Bethany Hamilton, who survived an attack by a tiger shark while surfing off of the coast of her native Hawaii. Starring Dennis Quaid, Helen Hunt, AnnaSophia Robb and Carrie Underwood, the film is expected to be a huge hit as it is released in more than 2,500 theatres and 300 churches nationwide.
