SilverStone Announces 700W SFX PSU – Not SFX-L!

There have been small 600 watts PSUs, heck SilverStone even hit 800 watts, but only in the SFX-L form factor.  That is too big to meet the official SFX specification and therefore doesn’t always fit the bill in small format factor case.

Now SilverStone has announced the first true SFX PSU that hits 700 watts. The SilverStone SX700-G is an 80 PLUS Gold-rated power supply with a fully modular design, single +12V rail, and a 92mm fluid dynamic bearing (FDB) fan tuned for silent operation at low loads.

The SX700-G includes SilverStone’s flat cable design for easier cable routing and enough power cables to connect up to two GPUs and six SATA drives.

SX700-G is launching with an MSRP of US$155.99 and should reach stores in North America by mid-December.
