Sanyo has introduced its latest AA-size batteries that fit into the company’s Eneloop lineup. The Nickel-Metal Hydride cells, labeled ‘XX’, are said to be the company’s highest capacity Eneloops, with 2500 mAh of power. Like the rest of the series, the XX offerings ship charged and promise up to 75-percent remaining power after a year of storage.
The new batteries are said to provide power down to -4 degrees Fahrenheit, while the extended life is claimed to reach 500 charge cycles.
The company’s standard AA-size Eneloop batteries step down to 2000 mAh capacity, but offer a claimed lifespan of 1500 charge cycles. The Lite variants are rated at 1000 mAh, with charging cycles boosted to 2000.
The Eneloop XX batteries are scheduled to ship next month with an MSRP of $25 for a four-pack
