Samsung has announced the details of its next generation of OLED displays, OLED Max. The new technology is more color accurate and displays images closer to their natural color. The improvements are due to new algorithms for color harmonization, detail enhancement, and intelligent contrast enhancement.
The size of the new IC is 6(h)x6(w)x0.6(t) mm. It supports image resolution up to 800×1024, and includes RGB, 3/4-Wire SPI and I2C interfaces. It has also begun outlining the roadmap beyond OLED Max, called OLED Max II.
