Rockmelt today announced that its socially-aware browser is once again available to the iPhone as a brand-new application. According to Rockmelt, the browser was rewritten to support thumb-based usage. It presents information in an infinitely long set of tiles that are easy to scan when scrolling up and down with the thumb. The app syncs with Facebook and Twitter for easy sharing, and will sync browsing sessions between the iPhone and Apple iPad.

Rockmelt is still working on a version of the browser for Android devices. Rockmelt was originally made available to the iPhone in early 2011, but was later discontinued. It is free to download and use.
