Razer’s atypical notebook gaming mouse got an update on Friday in the Orochi Black Chrome Edition. The hybrid Bluetooth and USB mouse is now available in a much more luxuriant-looking dark, glossy polish. Inside hardware remains the same and uses a 4,000DPI sensor that works at full speed when wired and at a still-fast 2,000DPI wireless to keep the bandwidth and battery life in check.
Besides speed, its gaming focus hinges on seven programmable buttons with onboard memory to remember favorite setups independently of the computer. It’s billed as ambidextruous and, in a rarity among gaming mice, supports its full feature set with both Macs and Windows PCs.
The Black Chrome model costs the same $80 as its matte counterpart and is in stock immediately.
