Razer, following on from the BlackWidow, is bringing out a new gaming keyboard with a touchscreen. The DeathStalker Ultimate uses the same customizable LCD trackpad and buttons as found on its Switchblade handheld PC concept and notebook computer Blade, as well as including tri-color backlit chicket keys, anti-ghosting for up to 10 simultaneous key presses, and a braided fiber cable among other features.

The 4.05-inch touchscreen runs in one of two modes. The first simply displays in-game information that may be important to the player, such as ability countdown timers or scores. This also allows for control over external apps, such as YouTube or a music player, with gesture control also offered. A second mode allows it to be a highly sensitive, multi-touch trackpad, serving as an alternative to a mouse.

Above the touchscreen lies 10 adaptive keys for binding commands and macros to. The keys can be customized with unique iconography for individual games or applications, although the 80Hz response time for these buttons is not as fast as the 1000Hz the rest of the keyboard is capable of through ultrapolling.

The DeathStalker Ultimate will go on sale in September for $250.
