Next Avengers Film Will Offer A ‘Definitive Ending’

There are another eight months to go before Captain Marvel opens and just over ten before we find out who will survive in the fourth Avengers film. With no further projects opening this year, Marvel Studios is expected to stay very quiet for the next six months or so with little to share about their upcoming slate.

Before they go though, Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige has offered one more tease for the next “Avengers”, saying that the film will not simply tease but rather offer a clear and definitive ending to the story that began with “Iron Man” in 2008. He tells The Toronto Sun:

“But, storylines can come to an end. The best stories do come to an end. Return of the Jedi was an ending for a long time and as a 10-year-old in 1983 that carried me through 30 years until there was a sequel. That hasn’t happened before in the superhero genre. A new actor comes in and a new storyline starts right away. We wanted to do it this way because we think that the best stories have a definitive ending to a storyline. That’s certainly what’s going to happen next year with Avengers 4.”

The comments come as it has been confirmed than an eight-and-a-half feet tall, life-size LEGO statue of Thanos (made of 91,350 bricks) will be appearing at San Diego Comic-Con this week. LEGO Master Builders spent upwards of 418 hours building and designing the model.
