Sony Pictures Classics announced today that they will release Bennett Miller’s Foxcatcher in the United States on November 14. The film will premiere in the In Competition Section at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival. Universal Pictures, meanwhile, has just announced that the Tina Fey/Amy Poehler comedy The Nest will hit the big screen domestically on December 18, 2015.

Foxcatcher, which will open opposite David Ayer’s WWII actioner Fury, Gina Prince-Bythewood’s thriller Blackbird and Bobby and Peter Farrelly’s Dumb and Dumber To, tells the true story of Olympic Wrestling Champion brothers Mark Schultz (Channing Tatum) and Dave Schultz (Mark Ruffalo) and their relationship with the eccentric John du Pont (Steve Carell), heir to the du Pont Chemical fortune that led to murder.

The film is produced by Megan Ellison under her company Annapurna Pictures, as well as, Miller, Jon Kilik, and Anthony Bregman. Miller’s cast also includes Vanessa Redgrave, Sienna Miller and Anthony Michael Hall. The film was written by E. Max Frye (Something Wild, Amos & Andrew) and Dan Futterman (Capote).

The Nest, meanwhile, arrives from Pitch Perfect director Jason Moore and is about two disconnected sisters summoned home to clean out their childhood bedroom before their parents sell the family house. Looking to recapture their glory days, they throw one final high-school-style party for their classmates, which turns into the cathartic rager that a bunch of ground-down adults really need.
