MTV has announced plans for a reboot of iconic 1990s animated series Aeon Flux with plans to turn the property into a live-action series.
The new take will follow the mold of the original series and will be set in a future dystopian state. The action revolves around a young assassin who teams with a group of biohacking rebels to save humanity as she becomes the hero known as Aeon Flux.
Jeff Davis (Teen Wolf) is showrunner and is set to write the script and executive produce alongside Gale Anne Hurd (The Walking Dead). Hurd produced the previous 2005 live-action film adaptation starring Charlize Theron and Frances McDormand.
