metal-gear-rising-dlcMetal Gear Rising: Revengance has been one of the best games released for the PS3 so far this year. The combat action is tight and fluid and keeps up from beginning to end. This spin-off is a lot different from the other Metal Gear Solid games, but it does a good job of setting you in the same world while still putting on a totally new path as far as the game play goes.

One complaint you’ll hear from players who enjoy the game is about the length. The whole thing takes most players about seven hours, even less if you are one of those people who skip the cut scenes.

Fortunately, if you’re a PS3 owner, you can now download a free VR mission pack via the PlayStation Network. New missions are a plus, but free is even better.

Meanwhile, in April, Konami will be releasing two more DLC packs. Jetstream places you in control of Sam, while in Blade Wolf you play as the Blade Wolf.

Both new DLC packs will net “multiple hours” of gameplay according to Konami and will give gamers a new angle on Raiden’s adventures. Both new playable characters will have their own new special moves and abilities.

The April DLC packs will cost $6.99.
