Maxthon is aiming to add a new dimension to mobile life with the elease of Maxthon Mobile for Android phones. The new product pairs a WebKit-based mobile browser with Maxthon’s cloud services — like syncing your website bookmarks — to give Maxthon users a completely portable internet experience. Maxthon Mobile was designed from the ground up to meet the higher level of sharing and communication needs of mobile phone users, said Jeff Chen, CEO of Maxthon.

“Other phone browsers have been based on a PC browser, which has different uses and demands compared to a mobile browser,” Chen said. “Maxthon Mobile is based on R&D that has created an original core product integrating Android and WebKit technology. Without sacrificing anything the Web has to offer, Maxthon Mobile makes getting to and using the Internet easier and faster for the mobile user. It makes your mobile life easy.”

Building on Maxthon’s existing desktop cloud browsing services, Maxthon Mobile leverages the Android platform with unique improvements such as:

  • Easy syncing of settings, favorites and history from desktop to device and beyond. Your web goes with you.
  • A whole new level of touch-screen browsing; Maxthon Mobile lets you design your own gestures that you draw with your finger tip to execute commands. No more searching through menus and tiny buttons on the go.
  • Multi-tabbed browsing.
  • A fast, error-correcting downloader.
  • A ground-breaking RSS reader.

Maxthon Mobile works with Android phones made by HTC, Samsung, LG, Motorola, Sony Ericsson, Acer, Panasonic, and Dell. It works with services such as Google Search, Gmail, Google Maps with Navigation, Voice Actions, Google Voice and Youtube. Maxthon Mobile also provides access to more than 100,000 apps and widgets on Android Market.
