Mac Support Coming Windows Home Server

Microsoft is currently testing an updated version of its Windows Home Server software. The latest edition, which carries the code-name Vail, userswill be able to manage Mac systems alongside Windows machines. In the past HP has added software to its MediaSmart Server Windows home server line to support Macs and iTunes.

Microsoft is also said to be adding Mac support to its Small Business Server software, known as Aurora. Aside from Mac compatibility, the updated version will focus on cloud-based features such as collaboration services.

Both the Windows Home Server and Small Business Server betas can be downloaded through Microsoft’s Connect site.
