Logitech has introduced the Pop Home Switch.

The wall-mounted button controls Bluetooth- and Wi-Fi-enabled smart devices from LIFX, Philips Hue, Lutron, Insteon, and Smart Things, as well as IFTTT for an expanded range of compatible products.

“Sometimes you just want to set the mood for movie night without opening multiple apps to turn down the lights, turn on the TV and the sound bar, and draw the blinds,” Renee Niemi, head of Logitech Smart Home, said in a statement. “With Pop, you can do all that with a press of the switch. It makes the smart home simple and accessible for everyone—not just the person with the smartphone.”

Each switch can trigger three actions using three different presses—single, double, or long.

One button could, for example, turn the lights on or off, open and close the blinds, and access Sonos music playlists. Another might adjust the room’s brightness, control the TV, and lock the door.

To get started, install the Pop mobile app (for Android and iOS), which scans your Wi-Fi network for compatible devices. Then assign individual gadgets to a switch, or combine multiple devices into a single trigger using “Recipes.” You can also pair the Pop Home Switch with a Logitech Harmony hub-based remote for even more possibilities.

The $99.99 Logitech Pop Home Switch Starter Pack and $39.99 Logitech Pop Add-on Home Switch will hit US shelves later this month, alongside the Pop mobile application.
