Players can assume the identity of any chosen hero, and explore the open-world structure on foot, in a vehicle, using Superman’s ability to fly or the Flash’s super-speed. The game features movie music by John Williams, and features drop-in and drop-out cooperative play as well as single-player mode.

In the original story for the game, Batman and Robin must save Gotham from a new weapon developed by Lex Luthor called the Deconstructor. Luthor uses it to team up with the recently-captured Joker, who in turn releases all the villains of Arkham Asylum. Faced with a large gallery of rogues, Batman finds that he must call upon Superman and other Justice League friends to aid him in fighting the threat to Gotham City.

The Mac requirements for Batman 2 include an Intel Mac with a 128MB or better discrete graphics card, at least 2GB of RAM and OS X 10.6.8 or later. The ATI X1xxx series, NVIDIA’s 7xxx series and Intel GMA chipsets are not supported. The game will sell for $30 when released, and be available through a number of digital download sites, including Feral’s own store and the Mac App Store.
