Boxee’s latest beta software released today now includes a Media Library selection. Users can now switch between locally stored videos and a collection of streamed content from sources such as EZTakes, Indie Movies Online, MUBI, and Openfilm.
The company claims most of the movies are available for free, with many supported through advertisements. The feature will eventually be expanded to include content from additional services or directly from studios.
Users can download the latest beta which is available for Mac, Windows and Linux. The company is also prepping set-top box, with their partner D-link, which should hit stores shelves in time for the Holiday season.
