Let’s have some pie. Today Showtime released a new promo for the upcoming 18-part limited event series – Twin Peaks.
The series is continuation of the 1990–1991 ABC series and many original cast members, including Kyle MacLachlan as FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper, will return, as well as a large number of new additions, including Laura Dern, Naomi Watts, Michael Cera, Jim Belushi and Jennifer Jason Leigh. The still from the promo below is that of late, great Miguel José Ferrer (NCIS LA) and David Lynch, himself.
Directed entirely by David Lynch, the series picks up twenty-five years after the inhabitants of a quaint northwestern town were stunned when their homecoming queen Laura Palmer was shockingly murdered. Twin Peaks is written and executive produced by series creators David Lynch and Mark Frost, and is executive produced by Sabrina S. Sutherland.
In its second week, Twin Peaks will air the third and fourth parts back-to-back on Showtime, starting at 9 p.m. ET/PT, followed by one-part episodes in subsequent weeks.
