Google Fi is making voicemail better and easier for iPhone users. An long wanted feature is rolling out now!!!… visual voicemail directly in the Phone app!! All iPhone customers should have the wanted feature by July 2.
For a long time iPhone users on Google Fi had to use the separate Fi app to check voicemails. Now, voicemail will only appear in the Phone app, just like most other carriers.
What about your current voicemail? Well Google Fi says it is phasing out voicemail support in the Fi app for iOS, so you will you need download any voicemails you want to keep before August 13. In short, when VMs move away from the Google app, you start with a fresh and empty voicemail system.
