Hulu has released the trailer for Love, Victor – their upcoming series spin-off to the 2018 gay teen romantic dramedy feature Love, Simon.
The show was originally set to air on Disney Plus, but the show found itself at the center of a still ongoing controversy over what qualifies as correct content for the ‘family-friendly’ service.
This and several other shows were ultimately pushed to the Disney-owned Hulu, even though the level of potentially objectionable material here is said to be essentially non-existent. The debate is expected to flare up once the show is out and we get a better idea of the content itself.
Michael Cimino stars as teenager Victor who finds himself on a journey of self-discovery in his new community and place at Creekwood High School (where Simon went). Ana Ortiz, James Martinez, Isabella Ferreira, and Mateo Fernandez co-star in the ten episode first season which premieres June 19th.
