The HTC 603e is now official and it’s a mid-range smartphone tailored for the Chinese market. It will be known officially as the HTC e1 and anyone who wants to pre-order one can do so starting today. Pricing is set at 1799 yuan, which equals to about $290.
You money gets you a dual-SIM handset running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean with HTC’s very own Sense custom interface layered on top of it. The processor is clocked at 1.15GHz and is of the dual-core kind, while the 4.3-inch LCD2 display has a resolution of 480 by 800 pixels. Further specs include a 5-megapixel main camera with f/2.0 aperture and HTC ImageChip, 8GB of storage, Beats Audio enhancements, and a 2,100mAh battery.
The HTC e1 will come in a variety of pastel colors, including pink, blue, mint, and brown.
Currently there is no word on whether the smartphone will ever be available outside of China.
