HTC Butterfly Coming to China Unicom

The HTC Butterfly, which features a 5-inch 1080p display with 440ppi, is headed to China Unicom for a mid-December launch. Further, an international version is also expected to launch with 3G around the same time and could be labeled the HTC Deluxe DLX. The Butterfly is already on sale as the J Butterfly in Japan and the Droid DNA in the US.

The HTC Butterfly is the current flagship handset in the Taiwanese company’s lineup and has created the most buzz for an HTC device in some time, with the company being overshadowed in recent times by Samsung. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core ‘Krait’-based processor clocked at 1.5GHz matched with 2GB of RAM. It also packs in 16GB of storage and a large 2020mAh battery.

HTC will also be launching its Windows Phone 8X and 8S on China Unicom at the same time. The phones will also be available on China Telecom and China Mobile. The 8X is powered by a Snapdragon S4, dual-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz. It centers on a 4.3-inch S-LCD 2 display, while the gets a 1GHz version of the same processor and centers on a 4-inch display.
