Here’s All The PlayStation Plus Free Games For September

Posted by at 4:36 pm on September 4, 2018

It’s the first Tuesday of September, which means that your PlayStation Plus free games for the month are now available. Sony has announced that the free PlayStation Plus free games for September 2018 will include the popular MMO first-person shooter hybrid, Destiny 2, and Kratos’ final outing in Greece, God of War III Remastered on the PS4. That’s not all though. This month hides a few other surprises for players. Every game available can be played on PS4. While it’s not always the case, the lists between North America and Europe are completely identical in August. That means everyone gets to enjoy the same games.

Destiny 2 was made available for free starting last week so that players could get a jump start ahead of today’s Forsaken expansion launch.

In addition to the regular six games this month (two for each platform), Sony is offering two bonuses. Here They Lie was added last month as a PSVR exclusive Plus free title through October 2, bringing back the two-month long free PSVR games that Sony had been previously offering to subscribers.

Finally, a PlayLink title called Knowledge is Power will be available for free through November 6. PlayLink titles require friends to play with and a companion app to use as a controller, but they can be extremely fun party games.

Here are the games that you missed last month, and the new ones entering the PlayStation Plus Instant Game Collection today in North America and Europe:

Games You Missed in August

  • Mafia III (PS4)
  • Dead by Daylight (PS4)
  • Bound by Flame (PS3)
  • Serious Sam 3 BFE (PS3)
  • Draw Slasher (PS Vita)
  • Space Hulk (PS Vita)

Entering the Instant Game Collection in North America and Europe

  • Destiny 2 (PS4)
  • God of War III Remastered (PS4)
  • Another World – 20th Anniversary Edition (PS3, Cross Buy with PS4 & Vita)
  • QUBE Director’s Cut (PS3, Cross Buy with PS4)
  • Sparkle 2 (PS Vita, Cross Buy with PS3 & PS4)
  • Foul Play (PS Vita, Cross Buy with PS4)
  • Here They Lie (PSVR, Staying in since last month)
  • Knowledge is Power (PS4/PlayLink)

These titles will be available until October 2 (except the PlayLink game, which will be available longer). Once a title is redeemed, you can download and play it at any time as long as you have an active PlayStation Plus subscription.

Remember that Sony will stop offering PS3 and Vita titles in the Instant Game Collection in March 2019. At that time it’s unknown what–if anything–will replace those spots, but Sony’s continued offering of PSVR titles and games found in its PlayLink initiative could offer clues to the future of the service.
