The Playlist has confirmed through his reps that Guy Pearce has joining the cast of Prometheus, though they did not disclose his role or how long he’ll be part of the production that’s already underway in London. Director Ridley Scott is succeeding in his goal to keep nearly everything about this movie, scripted by Damon Lindelof under wraps– despite the occasional rumors about the space jockey or xenomorphs, we know pretty much nothing about the film beyond that it’s set in the same world as the Alien movies and is set in outer space. The movie is just over a year away, due in theaters on June 8, 2012
