Battlestate Games is giving every Escape From Tarkov player a free gift to celebrate the holiday season and the new year. But there are a few steps that you have to go through before you can unlock your gift.
Previous year’s gifts have given useful loot, so it is a welcome addition with the new twist that some players are struggling with. Because of the new Ground Zero map and the quests on it, a lot of people are quickly running out of money in the new Tarkov wipe, meaning the Christmas gift will be even more appreciated than normal.
How To Claim The Escape From Tarkov New Year Gift
In order to claim your Escape From Tarkov Christmas and New Year gift you will first need to log into Tarkov and set up your character for the wipe. This is fairly simple and should only take a couple of minutes. If you have already started playing this wipe you can simply go to the next step.
Next, you need to head to the Escape From Tarkov website and log in. Once you have done that head to your profile page and scroll to the bottom, where you will see a small image of loot and a paper clip symbol on it. Click that symbol and your gift will be activated.
After that, you need to boot up Escape From Tarkov and open up your messages. You will have a new message from ‘SYSTEM’ that includes your New Year present. Click the get button as you would an insurance return or quest reward and you will be taken to your present. Simply transfer the items to your stash and the loot is all year.
The gift does not have any containers like in previous years but you do get some useful goodies, including some new additions that arrived with the patch. You’ll get, the RK-PT-25 backpack, the VSK-94 gun along with four mags and lots of ammo, a NeoSteel helmet, all three Christmas ornaments, a balaclava, some condensed milk, regular milk, and vodka.
With the three Christmas ornaments, you will instantly be able to craft the Christmas tree in the hideout, to make your home a little more festive as you start to build it up. From there you can craft Car Medical Kits, which you can in turn use to craft Salewas, which are proving difficult to find.
