Fujifilm has Announced a new flagship camera for its Z-series designer line. The Z900 EXR has a new CMOS-based, 16-megapixel sensor with EXR that should be much better at capturing shots in low light. As an EXR unit, it can focus on resolution or drop the resolution to either reduce noise or improve the dynamic range for the multi-shot HDR mode.
Also new is a wide-angle 5X, 28-140mm equivalent lens, sensor shifting image stabilization, and much faster photography. It can capture at up to three frames per second at full resolution, but it can shoot as quickly as 320FPS with a resolution drop. Autofocusing is also quick at 0.16 seconds.
Video records at up to 1080P and uses EXR’s pixel binning to take in more light, making sure it can capture the scene in a night club. Footage is encoded into the more efficient H.264 format and will play out over HDMI.
Fujifilm expects the camera to be in shops in May in black, blue, pink, and red colors for about $280.
