UDON Entertainment has announced a series of one-shot, Street Fighter comics to be released throughout 2019. Entering the arena in March is STREET FIGHTER: MENAT #1. Making her debut in Street Fighter V, Menat is one of the most popular new challengers and a top tier character among Street Fighter enthusiasts.
Ken Siu-Chong expertly spearheads this original story and introduction of Menat into the Street Fighter comic universe. STREET FIGHTER: MENAT #1 focuses on the enigmatic Egyptian fortune teller and her quest to avenge her master’s death. Menat is not seeking a bottom rung assassin, but is searching for the Dark Lord of Shadaloo himself: M. Bison! Bringing the art to life is Hanzo Steinbach, familiar to Street Fighter fans from his work on Ultra Street Fighter II #1 and Street Fighter VS Darkstalkers.
STREET FIGHTER: MENAT #1 is the first of 5 one-shot Street Fighter titles to be released in 2019. Including the previously announced Free Comic Book Day title scheduled for May, STREET FIGHTER: SAKURA VS KARIN #1, additional comics are set to be released in April, June, and July 2019.
STREET FIGHTER: MENAT #1 features two standard covers, illustrated by Panzer and Hanzo Steinbach, a blank sketch cover, and a retailer incentive cover by Steinbach featuring Menat’s feline “holiday” costume. Also available exclusively through FocusAttack.com is a cover featuring Menat’s fan-favorite mummy wraps “battle” costume, illustration by Rob “Robaato” Porter.
