Twentieth Television and Fox Television Stations have announced that syndicated court show Divorce Court has been renewed for another season. This will keep the series on the air through 2016-17.
Judge Lynn Toler presides over the show which is currently in its 15th season. This incarnation of Divorce Court was launched in 1999. The original Divorce Court started in the 1950s and featured actors reenacting divorce proceedings.
“In the current landscape where many shows have declining ratings, we are thrilled to have a long-running program on an opposite trajectory,” said Stephen Brown, executive vice-president of development and programming of the FOX Television Stations. “Renewing the series was an easy decision to make.”
