Dell today announced that it has been selected by the Women-™s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) as one of America-™s Top Corporations for Women-™s Business Enterprises for 2009. It is the only national award honoring corporations for world-class programs that create level playing fields for women-™s business enterprises (WBEs) to compete for corporate contracts and gain fair access to procurement opportunities.
This is the second consecutive year that Dell has made the list and is a strong reflection of the company-™s on-going commitment to WBEs as suppliers. In fiscal year 2008, Dell-™s spending with women, small and minority-owned suppliers reached more than $2.5 billion.
