Fans will have to wait a little longer to learns what happens to Rorschach, the Mime, and the rest of the Doomsday Clock cast, as DC has pushed back the fifth and sixth issues of the event series.

Written by Geoff Johns and illustrated by Gary Frank, the limited series ambitiously attempts to bring together the DC Universe and the world of the seminal comic Watchmen. Four of the 12 issues have already been released.

Doomsday Clock #5 originally was set to go on sale May 23, but the DC website now states it will arrive on June 20. Consequently, the release of Issue 6 has shifted from July 18 to Aug. 29.

Debuting in November 2017, Doomsday Clock continues themes introduced in 2016’s DC Universe: Rebirth #1 and in the subsequent crossovers “Superman Reborn” and “The Button.” It serves as a direct sequel to Watchmen, the seminal 1986-1987 comic series by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons, and addresses the mysteries the current DC Universe and its timeline.

The comic moved to a bimonthly schedule in January, which coincide with a delay in the release of the fourth issue. Although Doomsday Clock was originally planned to conclude in November, it now likely won’t come to an end until the middle or end of 2019.
