BBC One’s, AMC’s The Little Drummer Girl Begins Filming

Production has officially begun on BBC One and AMC six-part international thriller event series based on John le Carre’s The Little Drummer Girl. Filming will take place across Europe.

The Ink Factory, which previously produced the six-part TV adaptation of le Carre’s The Night Manager, are behind ‘Drummer’ which famed filmmaker Park Chan-wook will helm all six episodes of.

In the series which is set in the late 1970s, actress Charlie (Florence Pugh) strikes up an acquaintance with an intriguing stranger (Alexander Skarsgard) while on holiday in Greece, but it rapidly becomes apparent that his intentions are far from romantic.

In fact, he’s an Israeli intelligence officer who entangles her in a complex and high stakes plot orchestrated by Spymaster Kurtz (Michael Shannon). Charles Dance, Max Irons, Jina Jay, Michael Moshonov, Charif Ghattas, Amir Khoury, Katharina Schuttler and Simona Brown co-star.
