AT&T Ends Plans for In-Flight Connectivity

AT&T said it has cancelled plans to offer in-flight connectivity to mobile devices.

The company initially thought it could take on incumbent in-flight supplier GoGo with its own, competing wireless service. AT&T has since committed sizable financial resources to purchase DirecTV and Iusacell.

AT&T said a review of its finances prompted the decision.
