Asus has announced two Strix-edition GTX 1070 GPUs available by Asus. One is similar to the Founders Edition and the other is faster and more expensive.

Aesthetically, the Strix-edition GTX 1070 GPUs are identical to the GTX 1080s and side by side you might not be able to tell the difference. When it comes to just looks, we really like the Strix’ design. The GPUs feature three Aura-LED fans along with an angular design and come with DirectCU Cooling III.

Both the Stix-edition GTX 1070 GPUs have plenty of output options: two HDMI 2.0 ports, a pair of two DisplayPort 1.4 interfaces and a DVI-D port. These two Strix-edition GTX 1070 GPUs exceed the requirements for excellent VR performance. Dual HDMI is a great option for VR enthusiasts that want to reserve one of the ports for their respective VR devices.

The inclusion of dual HDMI as well as the great performance make this card a great offering for VR gaming enthusiasts. But these cards are not what you call inexpensive. Such power does come at a price. The base model will set you back $429.99. The OC edition on the other hand costs $449.99.

If the past is an indicator, Asus Strix lineup not only looks good, they perform just as well.
