The first of ASUS’ promised Windows 8-powered tablets has shown up at the FCC. The Tablet 810 was filed as the TF810C, confirming it is a Transformer-series device. It will have an 11.6-inch touchscreen along with Wi-Fi and NFC onboard.

The tablet will have the usual associated dock accessory with it that will effectively turn it into a netbook-like device. The Intel-based tablet has now been approved by the FCC for sale, though exactly when it will launch or what it will cost remains to be seen. Windows 8 is due for an October 26 launch date, however, so the tablets are due to arrive soon thereafter.

Other specs of the tablet from an earlier report include 2GB of RAM, 1,366×768 resolution, an eight-megapixel rear camera, and a two-megapixel front camera. Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and other standard sensors will be onboard. A Wacom dual digitizer will be present for finger- and pen-based control.

The Tablet 810 will also be released alongside the ARM-powered Tablet 600 which also showed up at the FCC recently.
