Late last night Apple released iTunes 10.0.1. The patch adds the Ping sidebar and gives listeners a way of tracking artists and friends while still looking at the iTunes library. It’s also now possible to Like or Post from the library instead of just the iTunes store.
Fixes
iTunes 10.0.1 fixes an issue that changed video quality depending on whether or not the on-screen controls were up. It also it patches a crash bug which would close iTunes while interacting with album art in a separate window. Plus Apple has resolved a flaw that would sometimes show the library and playlists as empty.
The update is available for both Macs as well as 32-bit and 64-bit Windows users.
