Angry Birds Heading to Xbox, PlayStation and Wii

Angry Birds is popular on iPhone, WebOS and Android, is a akin to saying the Bill gates has a little extra cash than the normal person on the street.

For those of you that have been living under a rock, or still have a Moto brick as your cell phone, Angry birds lets you sling-shot birds from a set location, and take down structures where pigs reside, all in hopes of collecting points while you take out the pigs. The game has an insane following and can make you insane when those pigs mock you for not completing a level.

Well it looks like Rovio, the developer behind the game, is getting ready to expand the horizons of some angry birds to the consoles. At the Social Gaming Summit in London, Peter Vesterbacka, Rovio’s CEO, confirmed that the title is indeed heading to the Xbox LIVE Arcade, PlayStation Network, and WiiWare.

Vesterbacka also said that fans of the game could expect to see a twist in the game’s story, and instead of seeing it unfold through the eyes of the Birds, we’d actually get to see how it all went down, according to the pigs. There’s no word on a release date for the console versions of the title. But I, for one, know it cannot be soon enough.
