
Veteran Japanese manga artist and designer Kia Asamiya whose work spans manga, anime storyboards, and illustration, will be attending Comic-con for the first time in 25 years. He will be doing signings and a panel.
Kia hit the scene back in 1986. He is best known for his acclaimed Japanese manga and anime properties Silent Möbius and Steam Detectives, and expanded his reach internationally in 1999 with stints on Batman, X-Men, and Star Wars for DC Comics and Marvel Comics. In 2024, Kia Asamiya received the prestigious Japanese Nebula Awards for his contributions to science fiction.
Panel
Kia Asamiya will be the spotlight guest on a feature panel to share with fans his visions and experience in the anime and manga industry for the past 40 years! The panel will be held Thursday July 24, 2025, at 3:30pm to 4:30pm in Room 24 ABC.
Signings
The manga master will also be signing for fans at the UDON Booth #100, on Friday July 25, Saturday July 26, and Sunday July 27. Each signing session will be for a total of 100 fans per day. Autograph tickets can be obtained at the UDON Booth (with purchase of selected Kia Asamiya Merchandise).

Asamiya-sensei is doing a limited number of ADVANCE pre-con-commissions on shikishi boards (Japanese signing boards) to be picked up on site. Only 30 full-size shikishi spots are available, in a first-come, first-served ordering system.. Please review the examples above.
