The free application, which is a result of a partnership with Healthagen, can be downloaded for the iPhone, iPod touch, or Android smartphones through app stores, or by logging onto www.adventisthealthnw.com. Palm, BlackBerry or any other Internet-enabled device can access iTriage at www.itriagehealth.com.

“We’re excited to bring iTriage to the Portland metropolitan area and to increase the accessibility of accurate medical information for residents throughout the region”
Adventist Health is the leading hospital in the Portland, Ore./Vancouver, Wash. metropolitan area to utilize Healthagen’s interactive technology. The iTriage app enables consumers to search medical symptoms, learn about the possible causes and find appropriate locations for treatment. Residents in the metropolitan area and nearby communities now have immediate on-the-go access to healthcare and facilities information from Adventist Health’s Portland Hospital and its 20 medical clinics.

“We’re excited to bring iTriage to the Portland metropolitan area and to increase the accessibility of accurate medical information for residents throughout the region,” said Tom Russell, president and CEO of Adventist Medical Center. “At Adventist Health, we firmly believe in educating patients about the care they receive so that they become active participants in their treatment. By giving patients on-the-go access to health information, they are better prepared to seek care when time is of the essence and locate a provider qualified to best treat their needs.”

iTriage harnesses the power of mobility and the Internet to improve access to healthcare information and assist patients in becoming active participants in their care. By bringing the tool to Oregon, Adventist Health is offering residents immediate access to details about the health systems’ clinics, contact information, hours of operation, facilities capabilities and more.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with Adventist Health to bring healthcare information and facility search to the state of Oregon. At Healthagen, we are leading the way in creating new opportunities for healthcare providers to engage with consumers by using integrated mobile technology, and we look forward to working with Adventist Health to increase patient engagement,” said Peter Hudson, M.D., CEO, Healthagen, developer of iTriage.

iTriage is a health application intended to assist consumers in diagnosing symptoms and locating appropriate medical care. Adventist Health encourages anyone in need of immediate medical attention to dial 9-1-1.
